Firstly let us talk the water washing method.
1)The plastic film need to print, usually it is rotogravure printing, for the multi-color printing, in the last color to print the water washing ink, it is special ink, to print the part of design which need to wash away.
2)After printed the film, it takes to vacuum coating, also call metalizing. After finish the metalizing, we can take the metalized film to this machine for demetalizing, the area which printed the water washing ink, it will be chemical reaction with water, then the metalized Aluminum will come off from the film, then we can see the washed away design.
Secondly, let us talk the chemical washing.
1)The metalizied film uses rotogravure printing machine to print the design to protect the area, so not to wash away. The design just same as printing, we have to make a printing cylinder, the protect area need to print, the wash away part no need to print.
2) The take the film to the demetalizing machine, in the chemical tank there is chemical inside, after chemical reaction, the not printed area will be wash the Aluminum, then through the water tank to clean it, and hot air to dry it, finally rewind the de-metalized film.
